Achievements 1.Animal infectious disease prevention and control: About 8000 animals are served per month, including vaccine injection, disinfection, and consultation. 2.Zoonoses prevention and control: We examine about 50 cases per month, and finish about 3500 animal rabies vaccinations per month. 3.Animal disease identification: We examine about 100 cases per month. 4.Promoting dogs and cats spaying/neutering: We provide subsidies, NT$1500 for female and NT$800 for male animals, to owners. 5.Animal reclaimation and adoption services: Taipei Animal Shelter takes in more than 700 animals caught by the Bureau of Environmental Protection per month. We handle the reclaimation and adoption of more than 250 animals per month. 6.Imported animals post-entry quarantine: About 50 cases per month. 7.Wildlife animal rescue: We set up a wildlife rescue center for rescue cases. 8.Animal corpse cremation service: About 1000 animals per month. 9.Pet registration: There are more than 150 pet registration centers handling the registration of about 800 animals and lost-and-found of 20 animals per month. 10.Public education: We hold school and community education activities for correct ownership.
